We prepare and deliver judicial notices promptly and accurately. Our team ensures compliance with UAE regulations in every notice. We handle legal warnings, court notifications, and related documentation. Stay legally covered with our reliable services.

A legal notice puts the other party on formal record. It sets out the obligation relied on, the breach alleged, what is required to put it right, and the period allowed to do so. In many civil matters a notice is a practical prerequisite to proceedings, and a notice that is poorly drafted or improperly served can delay a claim well beyond the time the underlying dispute would have taken to resolve.

We draft notices in Arabic and English, arrange notarisation where the matter calls for it, and instruct service through the channels the courts recognise. Where a recipient is outside the UAE, or cannot be located at the address on the contract, we advise on the route available before costs are committed to the wrong one.

What we do

Judicial Notices & Notifications

Drafting Legal Notices

Court Notification Handling

Timely Submission

Compliance Assurance

Procedural Follow-Up

Official Communication

Drafting

Notices for unpaid invoices, breach of contract, tenancy and eviction, employment matters, cheque dishonour, and revocation of a power of attorney. Drafted in Arabic where service requires it.

Notarisation

Attendance at the Notary Public where the instrument requires attestation, and advice on which notices do and do not need it before the fee is incurred.

Service and proof

Instruction of service through the court's approved channels, and retention of the proof of service that a subsequent claim will need to rely on.

How the work runs

  1. 01

    Review the underlying obligation

We read the contract, correspondence and payment record before drafting. A notice that misstates the obligation is worse than no notice at all.

  2. 02

    Draft and settle the wording

You see the draft before anything is filed or served. The remedy sought and the period allowed are settled with you, not assumed.

  3. 03

    Notarise where required

Where the instrument calls for attestation, we attend to it. Where it does not, we say so rather than adding a step to the invoice.

  4. 04

    Serve through a recognised channel

Service is effected so that it can be evidenced later, and the proof is retained on your file.

  5. 05

    Advise on what follows

On reply or on expiry of the notice period, we set out the realistic options and what each is likely to cost in time and money.

What we will need from you

  • Passport copy, and Emirates ID for UAE residents
  • Trade licence and authorised signatory documents, for a corporate sender
  • The contract, agreement or tenancy document relied on
  • Invoices, statements or payment records evidencing the sum claimed
  • Copies of any cheques, where the matter concerns dishonour
  • Correspondence between the parties on the dispute
  • The recipient's full name and the address to be used for service

Questions we are asked

What is a legal notice in the UAE?

A formal written communication placing the recipient on notice of an obligation and of the consequence of not meeting it. It records the position in a way that can later be put before a court, and it gives the recipient a defined period to respond before proceedings follow.

Does a legal notice have to be notarised?

Not in every case. Notarisation is required for certain instruments and is advisable where the notice may need to be relied on in later proceedings. We advise on which applies to your matter before the fee is incurred, rather than notarising by default.

Does a legal notice have to be in Arabic?

Arabic is the language of the UAE courts, and notices served through the courts are prepared in Arabic. We commonly issue a bilingual notice so that the recipient and the court are both addressed properly.

What happens if the recipient ignores the notice?

The notice period expires and the sender may proceed. What that means in practice depends on the matter, and the notice itself often strengthens the position, because it evidences that the other party was given an opportunity to remedy the breach and did not take it.

Who can send a legal notice?

Any party with a legal interest in the obligation, whether an individual or a company. A corporate sender needs to establish that the person signing is authorised to do so.

How long does it take to prepare and serve a notice?

Drafting is usually a short exercise once the documents are to hand. Notarisation and service depend on the notary's and the service provider's schedules. We give you a realistic timeframe at the outset rather than an optimistic one.

What does a legal notice cost?

Two separate figures. There is an official fee set by the relevant authority, which varies by instrument and by the number of signatures, and there is our professional fee for drafting and handling the matter. We set out both before instruction so you can see which is which.

Can a notice be served on someone outside the UAE?

Yes, though the route differs and takes longer. We advise on the available channel for the jurisdiction concerned before costs are committed.
